No stars. I have been a customer for 32 years. I went to an ATM that turned out to be faulty dropped my money. I got half back but the rest blew. I called telling them about the machine and they did nothing. Didnt go check it and wouldnt help me with anything. Im just out money. After 32 years of being a customer and there was nothing they would do and I was transferred 4 times. So I lost the money, an hour and a half with horrible customer service. I am closing it and moving all my stuff. Horrible!!?

Bank of America(BofA)has NO compassion for their elderly account holders. Trying to get an 86yr old to SETTLE an account for $4000+ or for any amount is disrespectful, greedy, and should be considered inhumane. Trying to navigate life is hard enough at that age add in with an uncertain economy, political anxiety, extreme heat, flooding, potential lost of food nutrition benefits, price increases, etc, etc and you have deep mental and emotional overload. Any account that **** is trying to settle and the account holder is nearing a century(100) he/she should be released from any obligation to ever pay/settle. **** will still be highly profitable long after my 86yr grandmother has left this earth. So why not give these old golden senior citizens a break ??

I have a business account with B of A and they continue to put 10 day holds on checks I get from customers even though they are also B of A customers. They can care less when I call and just say it is what it is ??

I made the mistake of entering $2810.25 instead of $281.25 on an electronic transfer from my checking account. Called immediately and informed *** could do nothing. Continued to call everyday to see if I could get better assistance..2 days later informed by *** rep. **** I could put a Stop pymt on erroneous entry. Requested Stop Pymt. Still the receiving company can try to withdrawal for 3 days. Meanwhile our acct is in Negative Status. Requested a Supervisor to share concern about Representative not providing Stop Pymt option initially. Simply informed that each *** Representative may not provide proper information. WOW!!!

I opened a business account et ********************** and it was the worse experience of my life, Im a contractor and I deposited a large check that they are holding for 10 days without any warning. I have bills that need to be paid, employees that depend on me to pay their bills and the client that paid with the check expects the project to start within a few days from when he paid. All other banks Ive dealt with never held a check for more than 3 days even when its said that it could possibly take 3-5 business days. Its an absurd, this is really hurting my business and I dont want anyone one else to be blindsided like I was SO DONT USE THIS BANK PLEASE ESPECIALLY IF YOURE TRYING TO START A BUSINESS BECAUSE THEY WILL HOLD YOUR MONEY WITHOUT THINKING TWICE IF ITLL HURT YOU, YOUR FAMILY YOUR EMPLOYEES. This is not the first problem I have its just the last and worst.

This complaint concerns a serious billing and accounting error by Bank of America involving duplicate ACH withdrawals and a false credit card charge. On May 12, 2025, a $1,000 ACH payment was made from my external account to pay off a ********************** credit card. This payment cleared my account and appeared to successfully post to the BoA credit card, bringing the balance to $0.00.Then, on May 20, Bank of America debited my ext account a second time for another $1,000without authorization. This caused my ext account to go into the negative. I contacted Bank of America and requested a refund. On May 21, the $1,000 was returned, and the issue appeared to be resolved. However, on May 27, Bank of America again debited my ext account for $1,000 under the descriptor BANK OF AMERICA MC RETRY PAYMENT . I did not authorize this charge. I disputed it immediately with ext on May 28 and was refunded. This charge also doesn't reflect on my *** card at all as a payment however reflects the disputed transaction leaving my balance *****. I owe nothing but agents look over it and even stated there was an additonal payment being sent, which never came.Despite the fact that the May 12 payment successfully cleared and the May 20 duplicate was refunded, Bank of America is now claiming that the original payment on May 12 never went through. They have added a new $1,000 charge to my credit card, creating a false balance. This is incorrect and misleading. My ext statements show the payment on May 12 was processed. If Bank of America applied that payment (and their own records show it posted), there is no basis to say I still owe $1,000especially when no new charges were made on the card during that time. This situation has caused unnecessary stress, overdrafts, and damage to my creditworthiness. I am seeking correction of the false balance, reversal of the duplicate charge, and confirmation that my account is in good standing.

Bank of America is continuing to pursue collection efforts against me for a $1,000 balance that was already paid and disputed, violating federal billing error laws under the Truth in Lending Act (TILA) and Regulation Z.?? Summary of Events:May 12, 2025: I submitted a $1,000 ACH payment to my Bank of America credit card. This payment cleared my ***** account and posted to my BoA card, satisfying the balance.May 20 and May 27: BoA made two unauthorized duplicate debit attempts from my ***** ******** One of these caused my ***** account to go negative.May 22 and May 28: I was refunded after disputing the duplicate debits through ***********June 2: A *** representative claimed another $1,000 refund was on the way. It never arrived, and no record was provided.?? Despite all this, *** continues to claim I owe $1,000, even though the May 12 payment cleared and was accepted. Their own records and ***** ***** statements confirm this.According to *****s CFPB response, the May 12 payment was successful, and *** did receive it. The additional debits were unjustified. Bank of America is violating the Truth in Lending Act (15 U.S. Code 1666) and Regulation Z (12 CFR *******) by failing to correct billing errors and forcing me to pay for a debt that no longer exists.?? BoA is in violation of multiple federal laws:15 U.S. Code 1666 (TILA): Creditors must respond to a written billing error notice within 30 days and resolve disputes within 90 days.12 CFR *******: Requires a full investigation and prohibits collecting the disputed amount during the investigation.15 U.S. Code 1693f (EFTA): Mandates investigation and timely resolution of unauthorized ACH debits.BoA has ignored all formal billing error notices I sent in writing. They have not provided a full audit trail, have failed to respond to mailed disputes, and continue to attempt collection on a balance I do not legally owe.?? Additionally, I received one voicemail from "***" at ************************. That extension leads only to a voicemail box with no return contact. No one from *** has followed up, and the secure email sent included no instructions or replies. This pattern of unresponsiveness and obstruction shows a willful failure to honor dispute rights under law.I have filed formal complaints with the ***** FTC, OCC, and FDIC, and request that the BBB record this complaint as evidence of continued consumer harm.

Bank Of America is the worst Bank to open up a business account! I used to be really happy with them, till I opened this business account it was a whole other animal! Here is my story:I was hacked and had ***** dollars stolen from my account and never received any help from ***. Since I was hacked through quickbooks they claimed they were not responsible since they did not release the funds. And well Intuit quickbooks that is a whole other story! I went to local law enforcement and did all the filing I could do unfortunately there was nothing that could be done the funds were taken out of the country. I ate the loss and moved on....4 months later I was hacked this time directly through BOA I lost ***** dollars. I just finally made my final attempt last week only to have them say "If we can not recuperate the money how do you expect us to give it back to you?"I tried explaining the terrible journey I have been through trying to start a business and dealing with incompetent BOA people!! It was to long so here is the short version...The long wait times and transfer after transfer after transfer to different departments with *** was so frustrating! The thought of having to call them to see the status made my stomach turn in knots!! Just knowing what I was about to face with them and the countless hours my experience had already confirmed. It didn't matter if you had the claim number the same long explanation and hold times then to hear "oh, I'm so sorry I need to transfer you to etc.." And there i went through the marry go round!! and the customer service *** they assign you to pretend they are interested in giving you help!! what a joke! I deeply despise BOA!! Even though I showed proof of fraud, police ***orts from a detective, subpoena's, false identification from the hacker they just shrugged their shoulders!! I thought my money would be safe with them but it's not please be careful with BOA they are not for you!!

This complaint message is regarding my *** account. I have several things I need to make a complaint about. My email and phone number information was supposed to be updated. I was told my old information was deleted by a BOA banker. My old email and number was not deleted and is still active on my account. Next my account was closed then reopened. A lawyer by the name of ******* ******* supposedly deposited a check into my account.I have pictures of the receipt hold dates and release times The check was deposited on 7/1/25 it was put on hold and a portion of it was supposed to be available on 7/3/25 at 5:00pm and the rest on 7/9/25 at 9:00am. I checked my account today on 7/4/25 and no founds have been ************** I reset my password using my new email and my new number on my account so I can start using the banking app which was *************** it still doesn't let me log in and tells me I need a authorization code. This is completely unacceptable.I have had the worst experiences banking with you guys and no longer desire to have a checking account or savings account with you guys in the future. I have file a complaint with the better Business bureau notifying them.I like to hire a lawyer for this. This is unacceptable Bank of America.
