    I paid this company in September for a roof and siding for my house. I paid him in cash, $12,500. I do have a cash receipt with his signature along with the estimates. He said he would have the job completed by November. The job has never been started. I have contacted him both by phone and texting. I have responses where he gives me every excuse. At one point he did offer me the money back and I should have taken it, that was in mid December. Since then he&#**;s avoided me. I&#**;ve even been to his house and spoken to his wife; she said she would have him call me but I have not heard from him.

    On the August 17, 2022 I gave **** ***** of Berry Roofing and constructions a down payment of $4500 on an estimate of $7,735 he gave me to do a metal roof for me. At that time I asked him how long it be before he would get start he said the second or third week of September. He came by on a that day and I gave him the check. And a few weeks later the check had cleared my bank. He never showed up. And still hasn't showed up 4 months later. I have messaged him to let him know that my roof was leaking in my kitchen he said he would come by and take care of that till he was able to do my roof. He has not done that. I've messaged him on his cell phone several times. have I gotten answers which have became lies from him he keeps just telling me that to trust him and that he will be here soon not to worry when he does message back to me. And one of his messages he had even told me that his mother had a medical procedure and that his family had covered in the flu off and on. But again he said he would be here soon . Still another lie... he has not been here. On Oct. 31,22 I called the other phone number that is on his estimate a woman answered she told me she would call me back within an hour with a more definite time of when he would be here to start working on my roof. Again I never received a call back from her either.
    At this point I am not sure what to do. To get a lawyer? I just can't keep waiting on him.
    My roof leaks into my kitchen almost every time it rains. I definitely will not be recommending **** ***** Roofing and Construction to anybody. He even shows on his estimate that he is BBB accredited business.
    Either I want the job started and finished (in reality soon) . Or I want my money back so I can seek other credible companys to put my roof on.
    I feel I have been way more patient and understanding with this situation. I guess I was wrong. 4 months is way too long to be waiting for a roof to be put on.
